Your CXcherry platform allows you to create separate portals for your clients, partners, and contractors etc. This is useful for cases where you want to have a separate URL, login page and look & feel for the portals. However, this feature is not available for customers who are on ‘Beginner’ plan.

To create a new portal, log in to your CXcherry platform as the Portal Admin (main Admin account that is created while setting up your CXcherry platform). Click on the gear icon in the header and select Manage Portals item. On the Manage Portals page, press the plus button at the top.

In the slide-out panel, fill out the information on the page. The mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk*. A few details about fields on this page:

  • Client Name: Name of the client for the new portal.
  • First NameFirst name of the Super Admin of the new portal.
  • Last Name: Last name of the Super Admin of the new portal.
  • Email Address: Email Address of the Super Admin of the new portal. This must be a valid email address which can be accessed by the Super Admin of the new portal.
  • Domain TypeSelect one of the following options from the drop down:
  •  Sub Domain: Choose this option if you want the URL of the new portal to be a subdomain of cxcherry.com. For e.g. https://cxcherryacademy.cxcherry.com.
  •  New Domain: Choose this option if you want the URL of the new portal to be a completely new domain. You need to follow the following instructions:
  • For a second level custom domain. An example of a second level custom domain is yourcompany.com. Please prefix "http:" or "https:" to the portal address. So the portal address should be http://yourcompany.com or https://yourcompany.com. The IP address for an A RECORD redirection is 75.2.23.22. CXcherry will automatically and internally complete the redirection, and it will always redirect to www.yourcompany.com.
  • For a third level custom domain. An example of a third level custom domain is subdomain.yourcompany.com. The IP address for an A RECORD redirection is 75.2.23.22. CXcherry will automatically and internally complete the redirection, and it will always redirect to subdomain.yourcompany.com.
  • Portal Address: If Domain Type is “Sub Domain” then you need to enter just the sub domain name else you will need to enter the complete address. The system will do a check to ensure that the portal address is unique.
