The key features and improvements introduced in the April 2026 release of CXcherry LMS. Each update has been carefully designed to improve administrator workflows, enhance learner engagement, and ensure a consistent branded experience across the platform.

Feature 1: Custom Notifications for Courses & Learning Paths

Overview

Admins can now configure custom notifications for courses and learning paths based on predefined event triggers. This powerful new capability ensures users receive timely, relevant updates and reminders that are precisely aligned with their individual progress and activity within the platform. Notifications can be tailored per course or learning path, giving administrators granular control over user communication strategies.

Details

The following capabilities are available to administrators through the new notification configuration interface:

  • Admins can enable and manage notifications directly from the Course Notification and Learning Path Notification tabs within the platform administration console.
  • All notifications are fully lifecycle-managed and can be:.
  • Edited at any time to update messaging, timing, or audience conditions.
  • Disabled on demand without losing configuration — perfect for seasonal or temporary pauses.
  • Triggered manually by an administrator when an immediate communication is needed outside of scheduled automation.
  • Predefined event triggers are built into the system and include the following key milestones:
  • Course Enrollment — notify learners immediately upon enrollment confirmation.
  • Course Completion — send congratulatory or follow-up notifications upon finishing a course.
  • Course Note started
  • Course Note completed
  • Certificate Expired
  • Course End date
  • Learning Path Milestones — trigger notifications at key checkpoints within multi-stage learning journeys.
  • Notifications are condition-based and are sent only to users who meet the defined criteria at the time of dispatch, preventing notification fatigue for users who don't meet the conditions.
  • Supported delivery channels offer multi-modal outreach: Email, in-system messages (notification).

Benefit: Improves learner engagement and ensures critical updates are communicated effectively and at the right time. Admins gain full control over communication workflows, reducing manual follow-ups and increasing course completion rates through intelligent, automated reminders.

Feature 2: Training Material Categorization

Overview

Admins, Power Users, and Super Admins can now categorize training materials for improved organization and a significantly streamlined course creation experience. This feature introduces a robust tagging and filtering system for training content, enabling teams to manage large libraries of materials with ease and consistency across the entire LMS platform.

Details

The Training Material Categorization feature introduces the following capabilities to the platform:

  • Category management is centralized on the Manage Training Material page. Admins and authorized users can perform the following actions:
  • Create new categories using descriptive names that reflect content themes, departments, or skill domains.
  • Edit existing categories to rename or reorganize them as the content library evolves.
  • Category tagging allows training materials to be associated with one category simultaneously, enabling flexible cross-functional classification.
  • Advanced filtering during course import: When adding training materials to a course, admins can filter the entire content library by category to instantly locate relevant materials — dramatically reducing time spent searching through large repositories.
  • Consistent categorization is maintained across both courses and learning paths, ensuring a unified taxonomy across all content types within the platform.
  • Categorization supports collaborative content management — Power Users and Super Admins can view and apply categories set by any team member, enabling shared content governance.

Benefit: Enhances content management and organizational clarity, reduces content duplication, and significantly speeds up course setup by allowing fast filtering and selection of training materials. Teams working across multiple departments or subject areas will find it far easier to maintain and navigate their growing content libraries.
