Your CXcherry platform allows you to add questions to a question bank via Excel files. This is useful in cases where you want to add multiple questions to a question bank in bulk which is a time-consuming process if it is done through screen.

Excel files can be created with MS Excel. The content within the file must follow the Excel Standard format, and the file must have a “.xls” or “.xlsx” file extension.

To add questions to a question bank via an Excel file, log in to your CXcherry platform as the Super Admin. Click on the gear icon in the header and select Manage Survey Question Bank item. On the Manage Survey Question Banks page, press the Upload Questions button at the top. In the slide-out panel, you will see acceptable values for question fields like Character Limit.

You can download the sample file by clicking on the Sample file button on page. This will give the format of the Excel file in which you need to add question data. Once you have added the required data, you can upload/drag/drop the Excel file to the upload area. Your CXcherry platform can process only one file at a time.

Once your platform has finished processing all the user records within the Excel file, you will get an alert which will indicate how many question records from the total records were added successfully. In case there were issues in adding some of the question records, you will get an error file which will provide a reason for failure of the corresponding question records. All the question types except Fill in the blanks are available for upload through the Excel file.
