This tab has all training material in the course. You can either import training material. Or directly add training material of type SCORM, Video, File and HTML only. If you want to add training material in section wise, then you need to add a folder. You can create folders within folder to create hierarchy. And import or add training material in that folder. You can give name of the folder or section. To import training material “Import training material” option from the dropdown and click on that option. You need to select a training material or list of training materials, which you want to import to the course. And set setting for that training material.  To add training material in the course, select add <Training_Material_Type> option from the dropdown. The available training material types are as follows:


SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model)


A set of technical standards for E-learning platforms. It provides the communication method and data models that allow E-learning content and platforms to work together. SCORM also defines how to package content into a transferable ZIP file, called a “Package Interchange Format”, to be uploaded in the platform. 

 

CXcherry is compatible with SCORM version 1.2. Please note that every platform has a standard set of core components that are used for SCORM objects. SCORM can be added as a training material for eLearning courses only. Your CXcherry platform URL should have HTTPS (SSL enabled) for SCORM packages to work.    

The mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk*. A few details about fields on this page: 

 

  • Title: Title of the SCORM package. 
  • Description: Description of the SCORM package. 
  • Upload File: Zip file of the SCORM package. The maximum file size should not exceed 1 GB. 
  • View Mode: Mode for each device on which the SCORM package will be played. Please see the details for device wise view mode as below: 

 

Desktop 

  • Play Inline: Use this mode if you want to play SCORM in the area where course player image is displayed. This mode is to be avoided if your SCORM package includes Iframes. 
  • Play in Lightbox: Use this mode if you want to play SCORM in lightbox. This mode is to be avoided if your SCORM package includes Iframes.  
  • Fullscreen: Use this mode if you want to play SCORM in fullscreen. We recommend this mode for best experience on a desktop. 
  • Play in New Window: Use this mode if you want to play SCORM in a new browser window.  


 Tablet (via Browser) 

  • Fullscreen: Use this mode if you want to play SCORM in fullscreen. We recommend this mode for best experience on a tablet. 
  • Play in New Window: Use this mode if you want to play SCORM in a new browser window.  


 Mobile (via Browser) 

  • Fullscreen: Use this mode if you want to play SCORM in fullscreen. We recommend this mode for best experience on a mobile. 
  • Disable Mobile Play: Use this mode if you want to disable SCORM on a mobile. This is to be used for SCORM packages which are not designed to work on mobile screens. If this mode is selected, user will get a message asking them to access it on a desktop or tablet whenever they try to launch the SCORM package.

Video


Videos are one of the foundational tools of eLearning. They improve learner performance by providing visual examples, allowing them to interact, explore and digest the content at their own pace.   The mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk*. A few details about fields on this page: 

 

  • Title: Title of the video. 
  • Description: Description of the video. 
  • Type: CX Cherry platform supports following ways to include a video:  
  • File: You can upload file of type MP4. The maximum file size should not exceed 1 GB. However, it is recommended to not upload files more than 500 MB for optimal user experience. 
  • Embed Code URL: URL of the video. You can embed videos via URL from providers like YouTube and Vimeo.

File 


PDFs, PPTs, DOCs and XLSs etc help in sharing your content with your users in an easy way. You can make use of these file types to share text and image-based content with your target audience.

  • Description: Description of the file. 
  • Type: CX Cherry platform supports following ways to include a file:  
  • File: You can upload file of type XLS, XLSX, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, MP3, and ZIP. The maximum file size should not exceed 1 GB. 
  • External URL: URL of the file. You can include files via URL from the World Wide Web (WWW). You need to prefix "http://" or "https://" to the external URL to make it work.

HTML


If you want to embed videos, photos, text, and pages from world wide web into specific text boxes, you can create HTML page in your CX Cherry platform. 

The mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk*. A few details about fields on this page: 

  • Title: Title of the file. 
  • Description: Description of the file. 
  • Page Body: Content for the HTML Page. You can insert videos, photos, text, or pages (weblink).

 

To insert a video, click Insert/edit media button in the toolbar at the top of Page Body text box. In the pop-up box, fill out each text box as necessary: 

  • Source: URL of the video. 
  • Dimensions: You can set your width and height of the video. You can also flag the option to constrain proportions. 
  • Alternative source URL: An alternative URL for the video. 
  • Media poster (Image URL): An image that will be displayed before playing the video. It will be the cover image of this training material.

Alternatively, you can add the embed code for the video by clicking on Embed tab in the pop-up box. 

 

To insert a photo, click Insert/edit image button in the toolbar at the top of Page Body text box. In the pop-up box, fill out each text box as necessary: 

  • Source: URL of the image. 
  • Alternative description: Alternative text to be displayed in case the image fails to load on the users’ screen. 
  • Dimensions: You can set your width and height of the image. You can also flag the option to constrain proportions. 
  • Show caption: You can choose to show caption of the image.

Alternatively, you can upload an image from your machine by clicking on Upload tab in the pop-up box. 

 

To insert a weblink, click Insert/edit link button in the toolbar at the top of Page Body text box. In the pop-up box, fill out each text box as necessary: 

  • URL: URL of the weblink. 
  • Text to display: Text to display for the weblink. 
  • Title: Text to display when you hover on the weblink.  
  • Open link in: Current window or New window.
