Your CXcherry platform allows you to categorized course into folders and subfolders (also called category and subcategories). This helps you to set up your organization chart and structure your courses. To create a category, log in to your CXcherry platform as the Super Admin. Click on the gear icon in the header and select the Manage Courses item. On the Manage Curses page, press the first plus button from the left at the top, then press the Add category button.


 In the slide-out panel, fill out the information on the page. The mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk*. A few details about fields on this page:

Language: Select the language from the drop-down in which the new folder is being added.

Name Name of the folder. 

Parent Category: Parent for the folder being created. This should be selected only if you are creating a subfolder. 



Press the SAVE button to add a course category to your CXcherry platform. By default, a root folder called ‘Default’ is already added as part of your CXcherry platform. You can edit or delete a category by moving your mouse pointer on the category panel on the left side of the Manage courses page. You will see Edit and Delete icons next to the category. You cannot delete the default category; however, you will be able to edit the name. You can delete any other category only if no courses are added to it.

 When creating or updating a category, you can create the category in multiple languages using the language dropdown. Please note that when you are creating or editing a category in the platform, it is mandatory to add in the platform's default language (English US). If you do not add a category in one of the additional languages, that category will appear in the default language instead of appearing blank.
